Winning a complete makeover worth 3,000 came as a complete shock says Claire Evenden. Until last year Claire, from Burton on Trent in Staffordshire, had weighed 22 stone. Then, inspired by her children Lilly, aged five, and one-year-old, William, Claire managed to lose 10 and a half stone. Claires sister, Sarah Eves, wanted to reward her for her tremendous efforts and entered her into the Stratford Dermatherapy New Year New You competition.
She is an inspiration for people suffering with obesity and the best sister I could wish for. I would love to show her how much she means to our family and how proud we are of her, Sarah says.
When Sarah came round for coffee on the 19th February to tell Claire the good news, life suddenly became a whirlwind and very exciting, says Claire. I feel like I am the luckiest person alive to have such a wonderful family who have been an enormous support to me over my life but particularly over the last year.

Claire spent the day with Stratford Dermatherapy, who specialise in both invasive and non-invasive, beauty treatments and says: The welcome was amazing; I really did feel like a superstar. I was talked through all the procedures prior to them taking place and was very comfortable in their hands.
She had Botox injections in her forehead, fillers in her cheeks and lips to give her a youthful fuller face and finally laser treatment to rejuvenate her skin. The whole treatment was very natural looking. I just feel like a younger looking me.

The end product was manageable but totally scrummy gorgeous,
Husband Paul, a man of few words, agrees, saying: She looks lovely.
Now all that was left to do was strut her stuff down the catwalk with the other models at Studio 34s fashion show at the New Year, New You evening compered by Louisa Allen of Touch Radio, and show off the totally new, glamorous Claire in front of friends and family.
I will never forget this experience; it has been wonderful, amazing, emotional, magical, and priceless, she says.
