"The Scandalous Mrs Woodhouse" was the final event of the week long Armscote Manor Lecture Series which is held annually in aid of Shipston Home Nursing. Violet Gordon Woodhouse was a famous harpsicord player who lived in Armscote in a menage cinq.

Maggie Cole, Harriet Walters and Guy Henry entertained guests with Violet's music and anecdotes from Jessica Douglas-Home's book about her Great Aunt. The week raised 3,300 for Shipston Home Nursing.
