Jen & Karl's Wedding

Want to hold a wedding with a difference but don't know where to start? Here are a few ideas

The ceremony
For those who want an informal ceremony why not consider a pagan wedding. These are usually held outside, inside a spiritual circle and often have a medieval theme.
Pagan priestess Anna Franklin, explains: The modern Pagan marriage ceremony is called a handfasting. During the ritual, the couple have their hands loosely tied with coloured ribbons, which is the origin of the phrase tying the knot. The happy couple exchange vows which they write themselves, may give each other rings and then jump over broomstick for fertility.
Annas book Handfasting is published by Lear Books (10).

The cars
If you want your fleet of wedding cars to be different to the traditional Rolls Royce then why not consider the VW Beetle? You could even have the most famous Beetle of all, Herbie, as your car. Or how about a stretch Beetle or customised VW camper van?

Or if you simply have to have a Rolls Royce make it a historic one and use a 1930s model like the 1929 Sedanca de Ville. These stunning cars will turn heads and ensure you arrive and leave in style.

A vintage bus is striking and visual, saves on the carbon footprint and solves all parking issues.

The reception
Take the peaceful and romantic reception option with a cruise along the River Avon and watch Shakespeares country pass by. You can choose any length cruise and it could form the whole reception or just be a small part of it, like being the transport to your final venue. Cruises depart from Stratford-upon-Avon at the Holy Trinity Church, or the landing stage at the Holiday Inn.

And as a final gesture why not release some doves? Doves represent peace, love, faith and fidelity so no other occasion could be more fitting than a wedding.
