Warwickshire's tourism industry is one of the biggest income generators in the area and representatives from key attractions and companies got together recently to celebrate its success.

Warwickshire's tourism industry is one of the biggest income generators in the area and representatives from key attractions and companies got together recently to celebrate its success.

Guests at the event, held at the Menzies Welcombe Hotes in Stratford-upon-Avon, enjoyed wine and delicious canapés and the chance to network.

A number of companies have won major tourism awards in the last year too and the mood was positive, despite the current economic woes. With the main tourist season fast approaching, the region is expecting to see an increase in British visitors taking short breaks and several guests reported an increase in European visitors attracted by the falling pound against the Euro.
