The Lure Of The Lake

As the colder weather creeps in, The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury hopes to brighten up the evenings with a chance to escape reality and enter the fairytale world of Swan Lake, on Wednesday October 22, 7.30pm.

Tchaikovsky’s acclaimed romantic ballet will be brought to life by Ballet Theatre UK during their first visit to The Roses Theatre.

Swan Lake is the story of a princess held captive as a swan by the spell of an evil magician, and a charming prince who tries to break her curse by swearing his true love for her.

This performance of the hypnotic fairytale features 120 new costumes, a beautiful set and an international cast of talented dancers filling the stage with passion and energy.

Ballet theatre UK was founded by the Artistic Director, Christopher Moore, performing a multitude of productions including Alice in Wonderland, The Snow Queen, and A Christmas Carol, as well as the world premiere of The Little Mermaid earlier this year.

Tickets are £20 with concessions available.

Wish You Were Here

A show that celebrates one of Britains most celebrated bands arrives at The Roses on Sunday October 26, 7.30pm.

Now in their 20th year, the talented musicians of Think Floyd have managed to faithfully recreate the atmosphere and sound of Pink Floyd live on stage.

The brand new production for 2014 features a range of classic Pink Floyd songs from early Syd Barrett through to Dark Side Of The Moon, and Wish You Were Here to The Division Bell.

Tickets are £20.50 with concessions available.

Beyond The Barricade

Due to popular demand, the West End veterans of Beyond The Barricade return to The Roses with a tribute to theatre’s most popular musicals on Friday October 24, 7.30pm.

Recreating original West End and Broadway musical hit songs with authenticity, Beyond The Barricade features a cast of principal performers from the acclaimed West End production of Les Misérables and the 25th Anniversary Concert at the 02 Arena. The extravaganza includes songs from Phantom Of The Opera, The Lion King, Miss Saigon, Jesus Christ Superstar, and of course Les Misérables.

Beyond The Barricade celebrated its first major year on the circuit with a Gala performance at the Royal Albert Hall, accompanied by a 100-voice choir. The show reached its 10th anniversary in 2009, celebrating in style with a Gala concert at Birmingham Symphony Hall, and this year it is celebrating its 15th anniversary.

Tickets are £20.50 with concessions available.
