Over £1,600 was raised to help fund The Wool Fair in Shipston-on-Stour, reports Susan Lewis.

There was a lovely atmosphere, lots of fun champagne flowing and people enthusiastically getting into the bidding process with their auction catalogues and numbers and the professional auctioneer presenting the lots and bidding wars between the excited buyers. Thanks to everyone that supported the auction.

The Auction was really successful and raised over 1,600 to fund the Wool Fair on the Bank Holiday Monday on the 31st May

The two highest bids were for the glider flight at 100 and for two year's membership of a dating agency at 125.

Richard Harvey, who ownsthe Richard Harvey Collection in Shipstone said:

"Thanks for the generosity of all the businesses that donated and to the people who came on the night, we couldn't have raised all that money without you."
